Foster Care Social Worker (On-Call)
On-Call position under the general direction of the Social Worker Supervisor. Working within the Foster Care/Intensive Treatment Foster Care program, providing
social work services to foster children and families. The Foster Care Social
Worker provides foster care placement, planning and implementation for assigned
client caseloads, and ensures that children achieve their placement goals in as
expeditious a manner as possible.
responsibilities additionally include, but are not limited to:
the needs of child(ren) and ensuring that the appropriate range of clinical and
concrete services are accessed, as needed, for each child
support services to foster families, including home visits, consultation and
counseling, crisis intervention, referral and coordination of community
studies, including home visits on prospective foster families to assess their
potential suitability as adoptive parents, and assists foster parents in
managing the children placed in their homes.

for new placements, according to Agency policy and the child's adjustment to

requirements include but are limited to:
MFT, or Master's degree in a related field (LMFT or LCSW preferred).
ASL or bilingual Spanish/English a plus.
experience in family and child welfare or mental health with emotionally

record of independent social work, and the capacity for developing job
competency with supervision and in-service training.
verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
