Data Entry Specialist

Responsible for performing various research support duties focused on entering, uploading, reviewing, and editing data. 

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform detailed and accurate data entry into internal and external systems and cataloguing of paperwork relating to data entry.
  • Reviews data entered by other staff members to ensure accuracy of data and provides feedback and support as needed.
  • Helps maintain spreadsheets and other databases for statistical analysis of agency data.
  • Provides support to agency outcome measurement activities, including training, scoring, and distributing client assessments to appropriate staff
  • Works with IT to maintain database systems.  
  • Maintains working relationships with Five Acres departments and external programs to gather qualitative and quantitative data to carry out research and evaluation projects.
  • Performs internet and/or library research, and does directed reading, as assigned. Takes part in training as needed to develop and maintain skills relating to the job.
  • Demonstrates ability to meet deadlines for assigned tasks
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding children, families and Agency operations.
  • Exercises good judgment in the performance of duties and responsibilities.

Position requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • High School Diploma required. Associate's Degree in Psychology or related social 

    science field preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving skills, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written.
  • Prior experience in child welfare or mental health (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff.
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a changing environment
